Print Spooler Subsystem App Error

  1.  Try to start/restart the spooler service. Try to print again. If this doesn't work, move on down the list.
  2. Shut down the print spooler service
  3. Delete any .shd and .spl files in the print spool at c:\windows\system32\spool\printers. Sometimes these get corrupted and lock the print spool. HP tool for this.
  4. Restart the print spooler service.
  5. [Reinstall printer drivers if this doesn't help]
